Polish

Our Polish rabbits are fun to show and easy to have on the farm in our rabbitry. Our homebred Polish, Heartsong Dixie, has won BOS of the Polish breed at the GPRBA Show with approximately 50+ Polish competing. Her breeding is: Freedom Leap EBI (sire; ARBA registered) X Heartsong Coalette (dam) who is by Black Jack (our ARBA registered buck bred by Terry Horn) and Coalette is out of Freedom Leap Katie, also ARBA registered. Pictured above, Dixie is out of a litter of six kits. Four of these six sold to an ARBA judge and registrar; one sold to a 4-Her in southern Indiana who is doing well with her doe, including a BOB, and we kept Dixie.
Dixie's mom, Coalette, along with her siblings were shown successfully as juniors. She has a sister, Heartsong Onyx, whom I had registered with ARBA. The blue buck went to a show home.
One of our does that we purchased to show and later breed, Kilander's C13 "CiCi" has earned her first leg towards her Grand Champion certificate and is now registered with ARBA. She is pictured below and is a lovely, proven doe.

Tip About Carrying/Holding Polish: We do find that Polish can scramble while being held, so if you carry them in a small cardboard box, it is easier on the human, and the rabbit likes the security of this arrangement - a tip especially helpful for kids handling small rabbits.

This is Van Horn's 2T or "Black Jack." He is the sire of the Aug. 2, 2014 litter (including Heartsong Coalette, that is out of our doe, Freedom Leap KT2, "Katie." Black Jack earned two 2nd places in senior bucks at the Oct 2015 GPRBA show and has two wins in the senior buck class at GPRBA and Rockville shows. He is now registered with ARBA.
